This role will lead key reporting processes, help maintain compliance across multiple entities, and provide technical accounting guidance for complex matters. The ideal candidate brings strong financial reporting expertise, sound judgment, and the ability to coordinate effectively with auditors, tax advisors, lenders, and internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the preparation of financial statement disclosures and supporting schedules to ensure complete, accurate, and timely audited reporting.

  • Manage the external audit process by organizing request lists, coordinating timelines, gathering documentation, and following through on open items and recommendations.

  • Evaluate accounting issues related to non-routine or complex transactions and document conclusions in clear technical accounting memos.

  • Oversee the preparation and review of periodic financial statements, including monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting deliverables.

  • Partner with outside tax professionals to facilitate federal, state, and local tax filings, annual projections, and estimated payment requirements.

  • Monitor developments in tax regulations and accounting guidance and communicate potential business impacts to relevant stakeholders.

  • Maintain accounting policies, reporting procedures, and supporting documentation to strengthen consistency, compliance, and internal controls.

  • Support reporting obligations for lenders, investors, and board stakeholders by preparing accurate financial information and related analyses.

  • Track legal entity records, ownership details, governance documentation, and compliance filings, while assisting with due diligence for transactions and financing activities.

Requirements • 3+ years of experience in financial reporting, accounting, or a related finance function.

  • Strong background in preparing annual financial statements and working through external audit requirements.

  • Knowledge of technical accounting research and the ability to apply accounting guidance to complex transactions.

  • Experience coordinating tax compliance activities with external advisors across federal, state, and local jurisdictions.

  • CPA designation preferred or in progress, with a solid understanding of U.S. GAAP and reporting standards.

  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines, organize detailed documentation, and communicate effectively with cross-functional partners.

  • Proficiency in financial analysis, reporting processes, and maintaining accurate accounting policies and support files.
