Description

The Renaissance School of Medicine, Stony Brook University, Department of Anesthesiology is recruiting for Certified Nurse Anesthetists.

General Responsibilities : Under the Direction of Anesthesiologist, the candidate will provide anesthetic care to patients undergoing surgery or other procedures.

Stony Brook Medicine is Suffolk County's largest academic medical center and a major tertiary referral center serving Long Island and the surrounding region. Stony Brook Medicine includes multiple hospitals, ambulatory surgery centers, and outpatient facilities, providing comprehensive care across a broad spectrum of surgical and medical specialties.

The Department of Anesthesiology provides care across operating rooms, numerous non-operating room anesthesia locations, a high-volume obstetric anesthesia service, and several ambulatory surgery centers . Faculty enjoy exposure to a diverse and complex case mix, including trauma, cardiac, neurosurgical, transplant, orthopedic, vascular, pediatric, and obstetric patients.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Graduate of a program in Nurse Anesthesia accredited by the Council of Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia.

  • Must have successfully completed and passed the National Certification Exam (NCE) in Nurse Anesthesia.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Doctorate Degree in Nurse Anesthesia or related field (DNP, DNAP, PhD, DNS).
