Job Description

As an Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Senior Specialist, you will implement plans and procedures to achieve the team’s objectives to ensure a safe working environment for employees to deliver high-quality projects effectively. You will perform routine EHS assignments according to established guidelines while using knowledge of the organization, processes, and procedures to develop solutions in non-standard situations. You will advise technical teams and leadership on daily EHS matters and provide solutions for complex matters. Additional responsibilities include ensuring compliance with applicable federal and state regulations, workers compensation management, ability to read, analyze and interpret general business documents, contracts, and technical procedures. Overnight travel may be required up to 30%.

We have one current opening and will consider candidates interested in being located out of our Lincoln, NE, Omaha, NE, North Kansas City, MO, or Overland Park, KS office locations.

  • Independently provides solutions to resolve complex situations related to the EHS matters.

  • Develops and updates safety programs, related policies, and procedures utilizing latest metrics, trend data and industry best practice methods

  • Experience in developing and leading environment health and safety training.

  • Strong, professional presentation skills for communicating to a variety of audiences at all different levels.

  • Advanced knowledge of EHS intelligence information, industry best practices, cultural growth methods

  • Comprehensive knowledge of compliance regulations federal and industry specific as well as state variations

  • Proficiency in Office 365 products (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel) as well as web-based programs.

  • OSHA 30-Hour, First Aid, CPR, AED, OSHA 500 Authorized Instructor (Construction), and First Aid, CPR, AED Instructor certifications required.

  • ASP/CSP credentials or equivalent preferred.

  • Bachelor's degree in safety management, business, or a related area is preferred.

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in safety with a variety of industry types and leadership responsibilities.
