Shift: Shift 1
Work Schedule: 8 Hr (8:00:00 AM - 4:00:00 PM)

Pay Range: $23.12 - $36.41 per hour

The Outreach Administrative Coordinator is responsible for obtaining complete and accurate patient insurance verification and authorization to support the provision of care and services. Job Responsibilities:

Reviews patient charts and ensures that all ancillary reports and required paperwork are available to the provider at the time of visit.

Coordinates information flow in and out of the clinic.
-
Coordinates care between intake coordinator and RN to ensure all requested testing has been completed prior to appointment.

Review referrals to ensure accuracy in case scheduling and all required documentation is received from referring provider.

Ensure patient has received all necessary prep instructions and any medication holds from prescribing providers.

Complete pre-op calls for all interventional endoscopy procedures to confirm arrival time, pre-op instructions, and answer any questions the patient may have.

Complete all post-procedure calls and escalate concerns as appropriate.

Maintains recall list of all interventional endoscopy procedures and ensures scheduling of all patients in a timely manner.

Provide direction and guidance for scheduling and care coordination for the intake coordinators. Develop standard work and

Addresses patient calls efficiently and courteously.

Documents and verifies billing procedures, and other pertinent information related to the collection process.

Determines patient’s drug coverage as major medical or PBM and follow appropriate path to obtain authorization and patient’s financial responsibility.

Submits appeals for authorization denials.

Complete patient paperwork for procedures and ongoing care.
-
Maintains compliance with The Joint Commission (TJC) standards and other regulatory bodies.

Accesses EPIC to retrieve referrals, orders and other documentation and contacts various outside agencies to obtain referrals and other documentation.

Assist with other tasks as assigned by providers and leadership.
-
Ensure all outreach clinics are staffed by transplant hepatologists
-
Work with directly at outreach clinics to schedule patients (often times outside of shared EMR)
-
Liaison with outreach clinic practice managers and clinical staff at outreach sites to problem solve around operational needs (equipment, technology, access, etc)
-
Monitor daily reimbursement and mileage charges for all clinical staff going to outreach clinics

Monitor lease arrangement deadlines and ensure that they are renewed on an annual basis
