Assignment: 24 weekly hours for Minnetonka Middle School East and Minnetonka Middle School West
Wages: Starting at $22.61 Click here to view the wage schedule for this position. Wages can be found in Appendix A, Class C. Not medical or dental benefit eligible.
Summary/Primary Objective of Position: The Advanced Learning Middle School Paraprofessional plays a key role in supporting the implementation of middle school Advanced Learning services. This role engages in assessment administration and data collection, assists with program organization and logistics, and provides student support with extension activities.
Job Responsibilities:

Program and administrative support• Assist with scheduling, communication, and logistics related to testing procedures under the direction of the Advanced Learning teacher

Schedule and administer assessments (standardized tests, final exams, etc.) to students taking advanced courses outside the middle school

Proctor math, science, reading, and writing assessments for students to on-ramp to honors or accelerated courses

Student data collection and support• Enter and organize student data accurately and confidentially

Prepare file review documents

Extension programming organization and support• Schedule and manage Continental Math League extension under the direction of the Advanced Learning Teacher

Schedule and manage other school-wide extension opportunities (e.g. Be the Scientist, Geography Bee)

Administer placement tests

Administer assessments to support individual differentiation

Student differentiation support• Support individual students with needs such as executive function, social, and emotional development

Support students who are engaging in learning extensions

Assist with independent student projects
Job Qualifications:
- Evidence of successful experience working with middle school aged students.
- Evidence of successful experience organizing projects, events or programs.
- Evidence of successfully using technology platforms such as Google Workspace and Microsoft
- Ability to build positive, supportive relationships with middle school students.
- Ability to facilitate one-on-one and small-group learning experiences.
- Ability to support and extend student learning through enrichment activities and academic challenges.
- Understanding of and commitment to confidentiality requirements and professional ethical standards.
- Comfortable and efficient using technology (e.g. Google Workspace, Microsoft)
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, schedules, and program logistics simultaneously.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with teachers, administrators, students, and families.
- Willingness to learn how to administer assessments and accurately maintain organized records.
- Ability to work independently while also functioning effectively as part of a collaborative team.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing student and program needs.
