Job Title: 4/5-Axis CNC Machinist – Night Shift (Aerospace) (ALL LEVELS CNC OPERATORS AND MACHINISTS)
Job Description
This role focuses on setting up and operating advanced 4- and 5-axis CNC milling machines to produce complex aerospace and flight hardware components in a high-mix, low-volume environment. You will interpret detailed blueprints, work to extremely tight tolerances, perform precision inspections, and machine complex parts while maintaining strict quality and productivity standards. The position requires strong setup and troubleshooting skills, as well as proficiency with common precision measuring tools.
Responsibilities

Set up and operate 4- and 5-axis CNC milling machines to produce complex aerospace and flight hardware components.

Interpret and work from detailed engineering blueprints and technical drawings to machine parts to specification.

Maintain and machine parts to tight tolerances, including ± 0.001" (one thousandth of an inch).

Perform precision inspections using micrometers, calipers, height gages, and other measuring tools to verify part dimensions and quality.

Troubleshoot machining operations, making adjustments to tooling, offsets, and programs to resolve issues and optimize performance.

Work with CNC programs and CAM software to support machining operations and ensure efficient, accurate production.

Set up fixtures, tooling, and workholding devices for high-mix, low-volume aerospace parts.

Operate machines equipped with Fanuc, Siemens, HAAS, Cincinnati, and Heidenhain controls as needed.

Ensure all parts meet aerospace quality standards and customer specifications before release.

Work independently on night shift while maintaining consistent quality, productivity, and adherence to shop procedures.

Follow all safety guidelines and maintain a clean, organized work area within the aerospace machine shop.

Collaborate with team members and support continuous improvement efforts in machining processes and workflows.

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Santa Fe Springs, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $50.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
