What we want

The Program Manager, under general direction, coordinates the planning, development, and implementation of mobile health clinic (container) initiatives in collaboration with the Texas A&M BUILD program and internal and external partners. This position manages the development and launch of mobile health clinic (container) sites from beginning to end, including outreach, partnerships, and opening events. The role ensures clinics are operational and serves as the primary point of contact for ongoing coordination, communication, and clinic activities once sites are active.

What you need to know

Travel: Ability to travel and attend events across the state of Texas. Requires up to 30% travel throughout the state of Texas.

Schedule: May require evening and weekend work for events and outreach activities

Responsibilities:

Project Coordination and Management:

  • Coordinates the planning, development, and implementation of mobile health clinic (container) projects from concept through launch

  • Facilitates communication and coordination between Texas A&M BUILD, university departments, agencies, healthcare providers, and community partners

  • Coordinates agreements, partnerships, and collaborations with clinics, hospitals, and community organizations

  • Tracks project timelines, deliverables, and milestones to support successful execution of mobile clinic initiatives

  • Supports procurement, installation, and readiness activities for mobile clinic containers.

  • Ensures alignment with applicable university, state, and federal guidelines

  • Supports transition of projects into operational status and continuity of ongoing program activities

Outreach, Communications, and Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Manages the outreach efforts to increase awareness and utilization of mobile health clinics in rural and underserved communities

  • Develops and maintains relationships with community partners, healthcare providers, and stakeholders

  • Represents the program and college at community events, meetings, conferences, and health fairs across the state of Texas

  • Contributes to the development of presentations, outreach materials, and communications

  • Collaborates with Texas A&M students, faculty, and staff involved in BUILD initiatives

  • Serves as a point of contact for assigned mobile clinic sites, supporting ongoing communication and engagement after launch

Financial Monitoring and Reporting:

  • Tracks project-related expenses and maintains budget records for mobile clinic initiatives

  • Monitors project budgets and identifies potential variances

  • Prepares basic financial reports and updates for leadership and stakeholders

  • Tracks expenditures related to events, travel, and outreach activities

  • Coordinates and processes payments, reimbursements, and travel-related expenses in collaboration with the Business Affairs office

  • Ensures proper documentation, compliance, and timely processing of financial transactions

Reporting, Documentation, and Data Management:

  • Maintains organized records of project activities, partnerships, and clinic operations

  • Prepares reports, summaries, and presentations related to program activities and outcomes

  • Updates and maintains program databases, contact lists, and tracking tools

  • Documents processes, timelines, and key milestones for mobile clinic projects

  • Ensures accuracy and organization of program information and files

Program Operations and Coordination Support:

  • Coordinates ongoing activities for mobile clinic sites after launch

  • Coordinates scheduling of clinical rotations in collaboration with healthcare providers, students, and partners

  • Communicates scheduling needs and updates with stakeholders

  • Monitors operational needs and escalates issues as appropriate

  • Coordinates student involvement, volunteer engagement, and program-related activities

Support of Event Planning and Program Logistics:

  • Manages and supervises events such as ribbon cuttings, open houses, tours, and community engagement activities

  • Manages logistical planning for mobile clinic launches and outreach events, including scheduling, travel coordination, and on-site support

  • Manages conference participation and outreach opportunities

  • Supports BUILD-related events connected to mobile clinic initiatives

  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in public health, health administration, communications, business, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Five (5) years of related experience in program management, outreach, event planning, or administration

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A Class “C” vehicle operator’s license or ability to obtain within 30 days of employment.

  • Experience or interest in healthcare, public health, or community-based programs

  • Experience with outreach, event coordination, or stakeholder engagement

  • Familiarity with Texas A&M University or student-led programs such as BUILD

  • Knowledge and skill in InDesign, Canva, Advanced Excel, Microsoft Teams, and Zoom

  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to work collaboratively with a variety of stakeholders

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

  • Ability to travel within Texas for events and program support

  • Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications

  • Ability to comprehend and convey information clearly using sound reasoning
