Full job description

The Opportunity

Adobe's mission is to change the world through personalized digital experiences. As Vice President, Product and Software Security, you will play a critical role in ensuring that security, trust, and resilience remain foundational to the trustworthy digital experiences Adobe delivers to millions of customers worldwide.

Reporting to the Chief Security Officer, you will lead Adobe's global Product and Software Security organization, responsible for securing Adobe's products and technology ecosystem while enabling innovation at scale. You will partner closely with Product, Engineering, Developer Platforms, Cloud Operations, Privacy, Legal, and Security leaders to shape the future of secure software development and strengthen customer trust across Adobe's portfolio.

As a member of the Security Leadership Team, you will help Adobe make risk-informed decisions that balance customer trust, business priorities, engineering velocity, and long-term security investments. This role requires an outstanding combination of technical credibility, executive leadership, critical thinking, and business judgment.

What You'll Do

Define and Implement Security Strategy

  • Establish Adobe's vision and strategy for Product and Software Security, ensuring security is embedded by design across products, platforms, and development ecosystems.

  • Serve as a strategic advisor to Product, Engineering, Platform, and Security leaders, helping drive innovation, customer trust, and business growth.

  • Anticipate emerging threats, technologies, and industry trends to keep Adobe at the forefront of product security.

Drive Systemic Risk Reduction

  • Lead Adobe's efforts to reduce risk through secure-by-default architectures, platforms, controls, and engineering practices.

  • Champion scalable solutions that eliminate classes of risk at their source rather than relying solely on issue-by-issue remediation.

  • Balance near-term risk reduction with long-term investments that strengthen Adobe's overall security posture.

Shape Trust and Security in the AI Era

  • Define Adobe's Product Security strategy for AI-powered products, services, and platforms.

  • Ensure security, safety, and trust are embedded throughout the lifecycle of AI-enabled experiences.

  • Leverage AI to improve security effectiveness while enabling responsible innovation at scale.

Lead and Develop a World-Class Organization

  • Lead a global organization spanning Product Security Engineering, Security Partnerships, Vulnerability Management, Offensive Security, and regional product security teams.

  • Recruit, develop, and retain exceptional leaders and technical talent while building strong succession pipelines.

  • Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, technical excellence, and continuous learning.

Strengthen Customer Trust

  • Partner across Adobe to ensure products are designed, built, tested, and operated with security embedded throughout the lifecycle.

  • Represent Adobe's Product and Software Security strategy with customers, partners, industry peers, and executive collaborators.

  • Champion transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement in service of customer trust.

What You'll Bring

  • Proven success leading large-scale Product Security, Software Security, Application Security, or related organizations within complex global technology companies.

  • Deep expertise in secure software development, cloud-native architectures, software supply chain security, and modern security engineering practices, including secure-by-default approaches.

  • Demonstrated ability to influence senior engineering, product, platform, and business leaders, translating complex technical risks into practical business decisions and strategic priorities.

  • Strong executive presence, business judgment, and communication skills, with a track record of building hard-working organizations and developing outstanding leadership talent.

  • Familiarity with the opportunities and security considerations associated with AI-powered products and services.

Leadership Characteristics

The successful candidate will:

  • Create the Future by enabling secure innovation and helping Adobe capitalize on emerging technologies.

  • Own the Outcome by driving meaningful improvements in security, trust, and organizational effectiveness.

  • Set a higher standard through technical excellence, operational rigor, and talent development.

  • Be Genuine by building trusted partnerships and leading with transparency and integrity.
