Job Title: Senior Software Developer

The Opportunity:

We are seeking a motivated Software Engineering to join our team in Jessup, MD! The ideal candidate has an interest in database technologies and Oracle, software engineering best practices, and real‑world application development. This opportunity offers hands-on experience working with enterprise systems in a collaborative engineering environment. The position will be a hybrid schedule, allowing for a balance between in-person collaboration and independent work from home.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead in the design, development, and maintenance of applications that interact with Oracle databases.

  • Write advanced SQL queries, stored procedures, and scripts.

  • Lead database-related development tasks, data validation, and troubleshooting.

  • Participate in code reviews, sprint planning sessions, and other Agile team ceremonies.

  • Help document technical processes, system behavior, and application workflows.

  • Lead testing, debugging, and quality assurance efforts.

  • Work closely with the engineering team to understand system architecture and implementation details.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related discipline.

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.

  • Active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance

  • Advanced understanding of programming concepts in languages such as Java, Python, C#, or similar.

  • Experience with relational database concepts (tables, joins, indexes, etc.).

  • Strong understanding of Oracle tools, SQL, and database development.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to communicate and collaborate in a team setting.

Desired:

  • Projects involving SQL or database design.

  • Experience with version control (Git, GitHub, Azure DevOps).

  • Deep understanding of software development life cycle concepts.

  • Interest in cloud platforms (Azure, OCI, AWS).

Pay Range :

There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:

$103,800 - $218,100
