Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Systems Administrator to support and maintain enterprise IT infrastructure in a secure and mission-critical environment. This individual will be responsible for administering Windows-based servers, workstations, virtual environments, enterprise applications, and classified network systems. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting DoD or federal IT environments, strong troubleshooting abilities, and a commitment to maintaining security, compliance, and operational excellence.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

On a daily basis, the Systems Administrator will maintain Windows servers and client systems, manage Active Directory accounts, perform software updates and vulnerability remediation, and troubleshoot hardware, software, and network-related issues. They will support both physical and virtual server environments while ensuring compliance with DoD and DOE cybersecurity requirements.

This individual will work closely with end users and technical teams to resolve technical challenges, coordinate equipment installations and removals, and provide technical guidance and training as needed. They will also document system changes, troubleshooting efforts, and corrective actions to ensure consistent operational support and system reliability.

Key Responsibilities Administer and maintain Windows servers, workstations, and enterprise applications. Manage physical and virtual server infrastructure. Perform Active Directory administration, user provisioning, account maintenance, and access management. Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, operating system, and network issues. Conduct vulnerability management activities and implement required remediation measures. Perform system patching, software deployments, and lifecycle management activities. Install, configure, relocate, and decommission IT equipment and peripherals. Support classified computing environments and maintain cybersecurity compliance. Monitor system performance, availability, and security. Create and maintain technical documentation, operating procedures, and corrective action reports. Provide hands-on support and technical training to users and stakeholders. Collaborate with engineering and support teams to ensure stable and secure system operations. Maintain required certifications, qualifications, and training requirements.

$30/hr to $37/hr.

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.

Skills and Requirements

Active DoD Top Secret Clearance or DOE Q Clearance (or ability to obtain a DOE Q Clearance upon hire). High School Diploma with 5+ years of relevant IT experience, OR an Associate's Degree with 3+ years of relevant IT experience. Experience supporting: Windows Servers Windows Client Operating Systems Physical and Virtual Server Environments Enterprise Applications and Databases Active Directory Administration User Account Management Vulnerability Management Software Deployment, Updates, and Lifecycle Management Experience troubleshooting hardware, software, operating system, and network issues. CompTIA Security+ CE certification or ability to obtain within six months of hire. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
