Salary: $4,725 per month (SR-18, Step D)The Chemist II position performs a variety of standard chemical analyses and physical tests in accordance with prescribed procedures in a laboratory; calculates data and test results, and keeps records; and performs other duties as required.To qualify, you must meet all of the following requirements:

Legal Authorization to Work Requirement: The State of Hawaii requires all persons seeking employment with the government of the State shall be citizens, nationals, or permanent resident aliens of the United States, or eligible under federal law for unrestricted employment in the United States.

Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university with a major in chemistry or a closely related science which included at least 30 semester credit hours in chemistry courses including organic, inorganic, analytical and/or physical chemistry.

Driver's License: Some positions require possession of a valid driver's license at the time of appointment. The immediate vacancy has this requirement.
