Full job description
Novakid is an online English school for kids. The Visitor Squad is responsible for the funnel from the first visit to the paid lesson: landing pages, registration and booking, blog, and the visitor’s personal account. We measure our performance using two key metrics—visitor → lead and visitor → booking—and validate almost everything we do through experimentation.
A core role within the team: approximately 70% frontend and 30% backend. Your area of responsibility includes the visitor’s personal account, attribution and funnel tracking, server-side integrations with ad platforms, and supporting experiments. You will work within the squad's processes: planning, grooming, code reviews, sprints, and releases.
Key Responsibilities
-
Develop and maintain the visitor’s personal account and parts of the funnel from landing pages to booked lessons
-
Own attribution: end-to-end visit tracking chains, UTM parameters, and diagnosing gaps in V2L/V2B tracking
-
Build server-side integrations with ad platforms (e.g., Meta CAPI, TikTok Events API, and similar)
-
Write and debug backend code in Python/Node: endpoints, caching, and server-side rendering
-
Support A/B testing: rollouts, feature flags, and post-experiment code cleanup
-
Investigate production incidents via Sentry and drive them through to resolution
-
Monitor and optimize public page speed: Core Web Vitals
-
3+ years of production experience with TypeScript and React
-
Python and Node.js: ability to work independently on the backend—endpoints, caching, SSR debugging—beyond just a thin BFF (Backend-For-Frontend) layer
-
Experience with analytics and tracking: GTM, event tracking, server-side conversion delivery. Understanding how data travels from click to report, and the ability to locate data leaks/loss
-
Product mindset: working with metrics and hypotheses rather than just closing tickets
-
English proficiency
Nice to Have
-
GDPR and consent mechanism implementation on public pages
-
Headless WordPress
-
End-to-end testing with Playwright or Cypress
-
SQL and BigQuery—ability to self-verify hypotheses using data
-
CDN and edge caching (CloudFront or similar)
-
Hands-on experience with Sentry and handling production errors
Our Tech Stack TypeScript, React, Python, Next.js, Node.js, Express with server-side rendering via Pug, Sass and PostCSS, Vite and Gulp, MUI and an in-house design system in Storybook, Vitest, Jest, Cypress, and Playwright for E2E testing.
What we offer:
-
Fully remote work.
-
A chance to shape the future of AI-driven education.
-
A fun, dynamic team that loves building innovative products.
-
Unlimited holidays – because we trust you to deliver.
