Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assists the Pharmacist in the preparation of medication ordered as permitted by state law

  • Maintains good customer service by Processing, compounding, and delivering medication in a timely manner

  • Responsible for ordering and inventory of medical supplies and medications

  • Other duties include ordering medication and stocking inventory, processing clinic medication requisitions, maintaining accurate records and other duties as required by the Pharmacist

Required Qualifications:

  • High School diploma /GED and completion of Tech Training Program including Sterile Product course

  • ACPE Pharmacy Sterile Products Certification/Must be IV Certified

  • PTCB certified

  • TSBP registered

  • 3+ years of pharmacy experience with 2 years in pharmacy admixture

  • Experience or knowledge with Compounding Sterile Products

  • Order entry, purchasing and inventory management experience with medications and supplies

  • Demonstrated ability to read merchandise labels and invoices; to ask and answer questions over the phone; to write information on prescriptions. Able to communicate with customers and to handle complaints and problems

  • Demonstrated ability to operate computer software to process prescriptions

  • Possesses sufficient computer processing knowledge to place and manage drug orders

  • Stress Tolerance - Demonstrated ability to manage the stress of working. Technicians will work variable shifts and provide staffing flexibility when responding to workload fluctuations. Able to manage and prioritize multiple tasks

  • Physical stamina - to work in a demanding environment and ambulate within the pharmacy

Preferred Qualifications:

  • HMO's and 3rd party managed care experience

  • Compounding Chemotherapy

  • Demonstrated ability to know when to refer questions, problems, and complaints to a pharmacist

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $20.00 to $36.00 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
