Description

We are looking for an experienced Human Resources Manager to lead people operations for a textile manufacturing organization in Arlington, Washington. This role will support employees and leaders across a broad range of HR matters, helping create a workplace that is compliant, well-organized, and employee-focused. The ideal candidate brings strong judgment, discretion, and practical knowledge of employee relations, benefits, leave administration, and performance management.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as the main point of contact for HR guidance, offering employees and supervisors dependable, confidential support on day-to-day people matters.

  • Oversee employee relations issues by addressing concerns, conducting workplace reviews, guiding corrective actions, and ensuring appropriate documentation is maintained.

  • Ensure HR policies, records, and practices align with Washington employment laws and applicable federal requirements, including pay, leave, and workplace compliance standards.

  • Manage or support administration of protected leave programs, payroll-related coordination, benefits activity, leave tracking, and employee files.

  • Lead onboarding efforts so new hires receive a clear, consistent introduction to the company, their responsibilities, and performance expectations.

  • Partner with department leaders to create and update job descriptions that clearly define duties, skill progression, and opportunities for growth.

  • Design and maintain a structured performance review approach that promotes measurable goals, consistent feedback, and documented expectations across teams.

  • Work with leadership to develop practical career pathing and compensation progression frameworks tied to capability, contribution, and role development.

  • Strengthen HR policies, procedures, and systems to support organizational growth while reinforcing a collaborative workplace culture.

  • Advise managers on communication, documentation, performance concerns, and other employee-related decisions, while coordinating with external HR partners and vendors when needed.

The salary range for this position is $110,000 to $130,000 + discretionary bonus.

Requirements • Demonstrated experience in a Human Resources leadership or management role.

  • Strong background in employee relations, including conflict resolution, investigations, and performance-related documentation.

  • Working knowledge of Washington employment regulations and relevant federal labor requirements.

  • Experience administering HR operations such as benefits, leave programs, onboarding, and personnel records.

  • Familiarity with performance review processes, job documentation, and career development frameworks.

  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.

  • Proficiency with HR systems and standard business software.

  • Strong leadership, communication, and coaching skills.
