Description:
Electrical Engineer for a manufacturing company specializing in vacuum and controlled atmosphere melting furnaces serving the specialty metals industry.
The Electrical Engineer will work with an Electrical Project Engineer within the Electrical Engineering Group to design power generation and control systems for industrial melting furnaces. The successful candidate will understand electrical systems and power distribution.
Primary Responsibilities:

Support the design and development of equipment for production and utilization of electric power on industrial melting furnace systems
-
Support the designs and specifications for power supply and transmission parts and integrate components into a final system design
-
Testing, troubleshooting, and supporting power supplies and electrical equipment
-
Use computers extensively to produce and analyze designs.

Travel to site for system startup / troubleshooting as needed

Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
-
B.S. in Electrical Engineering
-
2-5 years of Industrial equipment design experience.
-
Hands on experience with power generating devices
-
Proficient in AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks Electrical
-
Design and specification experience with SCR’s, IGBT’s, transformers, inductors, and filters
-
Good technical, analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
-
Ability to work as part of a team and independently on assigned projects.
-
Ability to travel both domestically and internationally.
Preferred Qualifications (Not Required):
-
Programming and control system design utilizing Rockwell AB and Siemens PLC platforms
-
PCB design experience
Condition of Employment:
Successful candidate must submit to post offer, pre-employment physical examination and drug screen.
