Description

Schedule: Monday through Friday, Day shift, 40 hours - five 8 hour shifts or four 10 hour shifts, to be discussed upon interview.

Primary location at Farmington OBGYN with floating to additional ambulatory OBGYN sites as needed (Canandaigua, Geneva and Victor)

Job Requirements:

  • Demonstrates skill in provision of care appropriate to the age of those patients served in a primary care office setting.

  • Demonstrates knowledge and principles of growth and development over a life span.

  • Exhibits the ability to access data reflective of the patient’s status, interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient’s requirements relative to his/her age specific needs and provide the necessary care as described in each Department’s Policies and Procedures.

  • Shows caring and concern for all patients.

  • Demonstrates accuracy and completeness in charting documentation.

  • Demonstrates phlebotomy and laboratory testing techniques at a level consistent with demands of the position.

  • Demonstrates the ability to work without direct supervision, while executing all provider orders.

  • Demonstrates triage capability within scope of practice to assess patient condition.

  • Demonstrates the ability to develop and maintain collaborative working relationships with remaining office staff and Practice Management.

  • Exhibits leadership skills through active support of practice and system goals and objectives as well as assuming responsibility for coordination of all clinical staffing needs and laboratory activity.

  • Actively guards the confidentiality of sensitive information including but not limited to the patients, staff and the health system.

Qualifications:

  • Must be a graduate of an approved school of nursing, currently licensed as a registered nurse in New York State

  • Must maintain current CPR training and certification

Education:

  • Graduation from an approved school of nursing, required

Experience:

  • Five years of recent nursing experience required. In addition, the Registered Nurse is required to successfully complete the Thompson Health System orientation program during the introductory period.

  • Physician office nursing experience, injection administration and phlebotomy skills preferred.

Pay Range: $34.00 - $45.00

Starting Pay: Based on Experience
