Full job description

$1,000 sign on bonus!

Family Service Association is seeking an experienced candidate for our full time (35+) hour per week Junior Site Coordinator role in our Afterschool Daycare Program. The position starts between $21 - $22 per hour with standard hours of 9:30 a.m.- 5:30 p.m. Monday - Friday, though coverage may need to start at 7:30 am based on program needs.

The Junior Site Coordinator role is responsible for the daily activities of the site, including development of activities, ensure a safe environment, and transportation. Junior Site Coordinator is responsible for the overall day to day operations of the site.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that children are supervised at all times.

  • Ensure that scheduled activities are implemented.

  • Ensure that lesson plans, progress reports, and staff observations are completed on time with input from other staff.

  • Ensure that site is safe: monitor site and equipment for potential problems; provide oral and/or written reports to Sr Site Coordinator.

  • Maintain equipment and daycare property.

  • Maintain child files and FFS reassessments.

  • Oversee staff time sheets, and all other required paperwork.

  • Attend required meetings and staff trainings.

  • Supervise compliance of the daycare facility according to EEC regulations.

  • Oversee monitors and monitor schedules for transportation.

  • Maintain regular communication with parents, school and agency.

Education and Experience:

A Junior Site Coordinator shall be at least 20 years of age and meet one of the following requirements:

  • Have a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Child Development, Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Child Guidance, Human Services, Nursing, Psychology, Physical Education, Recreation, Child Psychology, the Arts, Social Work, Sociology, or Child Care; and have at least 6 months of experience working with School Age children.

  • Have a Bachelor’s Degree in any field or an Associate’s Degree in a related field; and has 9 months of experience working with School Age children.

  • Have a high school diploma or equivalent; and have one year of experience working with School Age children

Candidates must pass CORI and CPS (child protective services) background checks.

Salaries are determined by factors including; experience, education, certifications, and foreign language proficiency with clients.
