Test Development Engineer

Your Impact:

• Lead new product test capacity fast ramp up in early mass production phase, work with product engineering and design team to drive yield improvement and test time reduction.

• Lead cost effective, high efficiency test solution development for high volume products.

• Maintain and improve automated test systems and software tools to increase test coverage and efficiency.

• Lead troubleshoots test station\product related issues. identify high failures items and ensure issues are resolved by drive to root cause

• Support product engineering team to debug NFF and RMA troubleshooting.

• Document test procedures, results, and provide detailed reports to stakeholders.

• Test process yields monitoring and SPC on a time basis.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.

• 5+ years of experience supporting optics product testing, with the capability to independently develop full test systems.

• Proficiency in software engineering principles and techniques, including programming algorithms, source control, deployment techniques, and multi-threading.

• Strong experience using TestStand, LabVIEW, and Python for automating test scripts

• Proven experience with optics test systems, equipment, and fixtures.

• Deep understanding of Gauge Repeatability and Reproducibility (GRR) and Statistical Process Control (SPC) for qualifying and monitoring Automated Test Equipment (ATE).

• Experience working with test systems that interact with automated handlers, alignment, or similar equipment in a high-volume environment.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Expertise in developing cost-effective, high-efficiency test solutions for high-volume products.

• Advanced skills in maintaining and improving automated test systems and software tools to increase test coverage and efficiency.

• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot test station and product-related issues, driving root cause analysis and resolution.

• Experience supporting product engineering teams with debugging No Fault Found (NFF) and Return Material Authorization (RMA) troubleshooting.

• Experience developing a common test platform.

• Familiarity with additional automation or data analysis tools beyond JMP and SQL.
