Job Description
As a Dedicated Flex Truck Driver, you'll enjoy the benefits of consistent customers with the added variety of working with multiple dedicated accounts. This role allows you to drive for different customers while ensuring steady, reliable work each week. You'll also receive a guaranteed minimum pay of $1,400 per week, with opportunities to earn more based on your routes and performance.
What You Can Expect as a Dedicated Flex Truck Driver:
Competitive Pay:
Average pay: $1,809 per week; equating to around $94,080 per year
Guaranteed minimum: $1,400 per week if you're available to work the full week
Starting pay: $0.70 cpm
Additional Earnings:
Pay for stops and loading/unloading (not all accounts)
Detention, breakdown, and layover pay when applicable
Company sponsored per diem program
Home Weekly: Drivers can accept two-week assignments with a 34-hour reset on the road, earning an additional $200 in per diem
Work Schedule:
Steady weekly schedule with a variety of routes depending on the account you're working on.
Miles will fluctuate depending on which account you are working on
Job Requirements:
Class A CDL required
Must be willing to do flatbed (training available)
Adaptability: Must be comfortable working with different types of freight and customers
Flexibility: Occasionally assist with other Averitt operations to keep you on the road and working
Dedicated Customer Focus: You'll work with one account at a time for a minimum of one week, ensuring the customer's needs are met before moving to another dedicated customer

Job Requirements
Must live within a 100-mile radius
Must be 21 years of age
Must have 1 year of verifiable tractor-trailer experience within the past 3 years
Must have Class A CDL
Must apply for Hazmat and Tanker endorsements within 30 days of hire and must obtain Hazmat and Tanker endorsements within 90 days of hire - will be reimbursed upon receipt
Must apply for TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) within 30 days of hire and must obtain TWIC within 90 days of hire - will be reimbursed upon receipt
No convictions for reckless driving within the past 5 years
No convictions for DUI within the past 5 years
No suspensions or revocations within the last 5 years
No serious violations within the previous 12 months (15 mph or greater, following too closely, improper passing, traffic offense committed in a CMV in connection with fatality)
No more than 3 moving violations within the past 3 years
No preventable DOT recordable accidents within the past 3 years
Essential functions:
Load freight - lift requirement: 80 lbs
Unload freight - lift requirement: 80 lbs
Move freight - force requirement: 54 lbs
Open/Close Trailer Doors - force requirement: 46 lbs
Count freight
Complete fuel tickets
Obtain sales leads
Hook/Unhook trailer - force requirement: 90 lbs (Class A Only)
Perform pre-trip inspections
