About Us

Heidelberg Materials is one of the world's largest suppliers of building materials. Heidelberg Materials North America operates over 450 locations across the U.S. and Canada with approximately 9,000 employees.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Support process improvement initiatives that enhance plant efficiency, reliability, and operational performance.

  • Collect, analyze, and interpret process data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.

  • Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams on production optimization projects.

  • Assist with troubleshooting process issues and developing practical, data-driven solutions.

  • Prepare reports, presentations, and recommendations to communicate project findings and results.

What Are We Looking For

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze data, solve problems, and apply engineering principles in a practical environment.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across teams.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications; experience with data analysis tools is a plus.

  • Self-motivated, safety-focused, and eager to learn in a fast-paced industrial setting.

Work Environment

  • Primarily based at the Giant Resource Recovery (GRR) facility.

  • Hands-on experience in an industrial manufacturing environment with both office and plant exposure.

  • Requires adherence to all safety procedures and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) when in operational areas.

  • Opportunity to work closely with experienced engineering and operations professionals.
