Job Description
A large local utility is looking for a Junior Project Manager to support a multi-year SAP S/4HANA implementation and broader business transformation initiative. This individual will work closely with the SAP Program Manager and Project Managers to coordinate project activities across multiple business and technical workstreams. Day to day, they will maintain project schedules, coordinate meetings and workshops, track milestones, dependencies, risks, action items, and deliverables, and ensure project documentation remains accurate and up to date. This person will also support project financial activities, including tracking and reconciling invoices against statements of work, purchase orders, and budgets, while partnering with Finance, Procurement, vendors, and project leadership to resolve discrepancies. They will assist with weekly status reporting, dashboards, governance meetings, and leadership presentations to ensure stakeholders have clear visibility into project progress. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, comfortable following up across multiple teams, and interested in continuing to develop their project management experience within a large-scale ERP transformation.
Skills and Requirements
-Haves
- 1–3 years of experience as a Project Coordinator, Project Administrator, Project Analyst, Junior Project Manager, or similar
- Experience supporting projects within an IT, PMO, Finance, ERP, or business transformation environment
- Strong experience with project scheduling, task tracking, action items, and project documentation
- Experience maintaining project plans, RAID logs, action logs, status reports, or project dashboards
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and workstreams
- Experience coordinating meetings, capturing notes and decisions, and following up on outstanding action items
- Experience with Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, Azure DevOps, or similar project management/scheduling tools
- Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams, and SharePoint
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work across business, technical, and vendor teams
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, Finance, Project Management, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience
- Experience supporting an SAP S/4HANA, SAP ECC, or other ERP implementation
- Exposure to large-scale enterprise transformation or software implementation programs
- Experience with invoice reconciliation, budget tracking, purchase orders, statements of work, or project financials
- Experience partnering with Finance, Accounts Payable, Procurement, or Accounts Receivable teams
- Familiarity with Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid project delivery methodologies
- Experience supporting project governance meetings or steering committee preparation
