Job Description
The Detail Inspector plays a crucial role in ensuring airworthiness in civil aviation by performing preliminary, hidden-damage, in-process, and final inspections. This position requires adherence to manufacturer instructions, service bulletins, and industry-standard practices approved by the FAA.
Responsibilities

Become thoroughly familiar with inspection methods, techniques, aids, tools, and equipment used within assigned areas.

Maintain proficiency in using inspection aids and ensure they are in proper working order with the correct calibration information affixed.

Understand current specifications involving inspection tolerances, limitations, and procedures established by the manufacturer of the articles being inspected.

Ensure all inspections are properly performed, recorded, and that records are executed before final approval for return to service.

Perform disassembly and repair of all types of aircraft engine usable parts.
-
Assist with the reconfiguration or reconditioning of equipment.

Execute scripted test procedures to isolate failures to sub-assembly and/or component levels.

Perform scripted repair procedures to repair and functionally test parts or products.
-
Assist Repair Technicians, Engineers, and Technical Services as required.

Maintain constant adherence to inventory control practices and procedures.

Interpret OEM manuals and router instructions.
Essential Skills
-
Experience inspecting components of CFM or similar engines within an MRO setting.

Exceptional attention to detail.
-
Basic PC knowledge.

Proficiency with all hand tools and pneumatic tools.

Ability to isolate failures and complete rework of parts and assemblies.

Ability to perform within company quality standards.

Knowledge of troubleshooting and repair concepts.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
-
Some knowledge of troubleshooting concepts.
-
Ability to learn and perform basic repairs.
-
Ability to read and understand routers and OEM manuals.

Engine MRO environment with available shifts including 1st, 2nd, and weekends.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Miami, FL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $52.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
