Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented Relay Project Engineer to support utility substation projects by managing the fabrication and delivery of relay protection panels. This role works closely with engineering teams, vendors, and project stakeholders to ensure critical equipment is delivered on schedule and meets quality standards, helping maintain a safe and reliable electric grid.
Key Responsibilities Coordinate relay panel fabrication orders with approved vendors. Track production schedules and communicate status updates to project teams. Coordinate delivery of materials and owner-supplied equipment. Visit vendor facilities to monitor progress and assess quality and production capacity. Maintain fabrication tracking reports and completion schedules. Collaborate with Engineering, Construction, Operations, Procurement, and Project Management teams. Identify and resolve material or scheduling issues that may impact project timelines.
Skills and Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field. 2-4 years of experience in engineering support, project coordination, manufacturing, supply chain, or utility operations. Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Experience with budgeting, reporting, or materials tracking. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications. Strong communication skills and attention to detail. Utilities experience highly preferred
