*While this is a remote position, the ideal candidate will reside on the Eastern Time Zone to support business needs.

As a Senior Communications Specialist supporting the Ortho Tech Division, you will help inform, engage and align employees across a dynamic, global organization.
In this role, you will lead the execution and continuous improvement of key division communications, partnering closely with communications colleagues, HR, leaders, and other stakeholders to deliver clear, timely, and actionable messaging. You will oversee core employee communication channels, strengthen audience and distribution-list governance, champion the Ortho Tech brand, and use measurement and insights to improve communications effectiveness. You will also support priority division events and initiatives that advance employee engagement and business objectives.
The ideal candidate is a proactive, collaborative communicator who can manage multiple priorities, translate complex information into compelling employee communications, and use data to inform decisions. This individual will bring strong writing, project management, and stakeholder-management skills, along with the ability to move work forward in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
What you will do:

Develop and execute communication plans that support Ortho Tech Division priorities, employee engagement and people leader initiatives in partnership with communications leaders, HR and other key stakeholders.

Lead the editorial planning, content development, production, and distribution of Ortho Tech employee communications, including the Ortho Tech in motion newsletter and other division-wide channels.

Partner closely with HR to develop clear, timely, and actionable employee and People Leader communications, including organizational announcements and other sensitive or time-critical updates.

Support the execution of change communications for division priorities and initiatives, translating complex information into messaging that helps employees understand what is changing, why it matters, and what action may be required.

Own and maintain the Ortho Tech communications editorial calendar, coordinating content, timing and channels to align messaging, reduce duplication and minimize communication fatigue.

Manage Ortho Tech employee distribution lists, including list governance and ongoing maintenance, while identifying and implementing process improvements that strengthen accuracy, efficiency and audience targeting.

Create, edit, and publish engaging content across channels, including email, newsletters, Connect articles, presentations, leader communications, and other digital platforms.

Serve as an Ortho Tech brand steward, applying and reinforcing Stryker brand standards, voice and messaging principles across division communications.

Build trusted relationships with stakeholders across Ortho Tech and business partner teams, providing guidance on audience, channel, timing, and content approach.

Support communications planning and execution for priority division events and initiatives, including sales meetings.

Stay current on employee communication trends, technologies, and best practices, recommending and piloting new approaches that improve reach, efficiency, and engagement.
What you need (Required):

Bachelor’s degree

2+ years of communications-related work experience required.
Preferred:
-
Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, public relations, or related field preferred.

Exceptional writing and editing skills with an eye for detail; knowledge of AP Style preferred (writing assessment will be required).

Ability to effectively use Microsoft Office 365 applications.

Familiarity with communication tools and platforms is a plus (SharePoint, Viva Engage, Marketo or other email marketing tools, etc.).
