Job Description:

Insight Global is seeking a Quality Assurance Technician for a leading industrial automation and manufacturing client. This individual will be responsible for evaluating non-conforming materials, performing incoming inspections, and ensuring products meet established quality standards. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, comfortable reading mechanical and electrical prints, and experienced with precision measurement instruments. This role offers exposure to cross-functional teams including engineering and manufacturing, providing an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career in quality and advanced manufacturing.

Day-to-Day:

  • Review and disposition non-conforming material through rework, scrap, or corrective actions

  • Collaborate with manufacturing and engineering teams to determine disposition and next steps for defective products

  • Perform receiving inspections and verify parts meet specifications and print requirements

  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints

  • Document inspection findings and quality data within Oracle ERP

  • Maintain organized work areas and support 5S initiatives

  • Provide cross-functional support to quality, manufacturing, and engineering teams as needed

Compensation:

$17/hr to $21/hr.

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.

Skills and Requirements

  • Self-starter with strong time management skills

  • Ability to read and interpret basic electrical and mechanical prints

  • Experience using precision measurement tools (micrometers, height stands, dial indicators)

  • High level of integrity and attention to detail in a quality-focused environment

  • Experience working in a manufacturing, quality, inspection, or technical environment • Experience with Oracle ERP or similar ERP systems

  • Quality experience in automotive, aerospace, military, or highly regulated manufacturing environments

  • ASQ Certification or quality-related credentials

  • Engineering degree or technical degree

  • CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) operation experience
