Behavior Specialist
Service area: Picayune, MS, 39466 and surrounding communities
Schedule: Day and weekend availability required; flexible scheduling
Pay frequency: Weekly
Help at Home is seeking a dedicated Behavior Specialist to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. We offer flexible scheduling, weekly pay, and meaningful work helping individuals receive effective, consistent support in their homes and communities.
About the Role
As a Behavior Specialist, you will participate in developing and implementing Behavior Support Plans, evaluate their effectiveness, and help adjust support strategies. You will also train staff and caregivers on implementation methods and provide required documentation to Behavior Consultants. This role requires travel within a 20–50 mile radius, as needed.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or higher in social work, psychology, or a related field.

At least five years of experience supporting individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities.

Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation.

Ability to travel within a 20–50 mile radius, as needed.

Availability to work day and weekend shifts.

Professional written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to identify, develop, and deliver effective training methods.

Ability to meet applicable state background check requirements.
Responsibilities
-
Participate in the development and implementation of individualized Behavior Support Plans.

Collect and analyze data to evaluate the effectiveness of Behavior Support Plans.

Adjust or revise support strategies based on collected data and individual needs.

Train staff and caregivers on support strategies and monitor their implementation.
-
Submit required documentation to Behavior Consultants.

Travel within the service area as needed to support individuals, staff, and caregivers.
