Physician Assistant

Pre-Admission Testing (PAT) Clinic | Plano, Texas

Texas Health is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our Pre-Admission Testing (PAT) Clinic at Texas Health Hospital Plano in Plano, Texas. This is an excellent opportunity for an APP who enjoys comprehensive patient assessments, collaborative practice, and helping ensure patients are optimized and ready for surgical procedures.

Position Highlights

  • Full-time employed position

  • Monday-Friday schedule

  • Day shifts, approximately 8:00 AM-5:00 PM

  • No routine call requirements

  • Join a collaborative team dedicated to surgical readiness and patient safety

  • Located at Texas Health Hospital Plano, one of North Texas' premier healthcare facilities

Qualifications

  • Certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant licensed to practice in Texas

  • Acute Care certification required where applicable

  • Minimum of two years of APP experience preferred

  • Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, communication, and decision-making skills

  • Commitment to delivering exceptional patient-centered care

The Physician Assistant ('PA') will be licensed as a physician assistant in the State of Texas and maintain such license in good standing at all times. Master's degree Physician Assistant required.

The PA will report to the supervising physician and/or the Medical Director and will be responsible for meeting CME requirements to maintain certification and licensure.

The PA's duties and responsibilities apply to the THPG patient population and assigned setting only.
