Job Title: Consumer Relations & Product Quality CoordinatorJob Description

The Consumer Relations & Product Quality Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting product quality and managing consumer relations within a food manufacturing environment. This position involves managing consumer complaints, coordinating investigations with QA and manufacturing teams, and ensuring the timely resolution of product concerns. Additionally, the coordinator is responsible for tracking corrective actions, managing customer samples and quality documentation, supporting customer portals, and coordinating product cuttings and sensory evaluations.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and document consumer complaints, coordinating investigations with QA and manufacturing teams.

  • Track corrective actions and analyze complaint trends.

  • Coordinate with Quality, Production, Sanitation, Maintenance, Warehouse, R&D, Sales, and Customer Service to investigate product concerns.

  • Review production and quality records and draft investigation summaries.

  • Maintain QA databases and coordinate customer samples.

  • Support audits and respond to customer documentation requests.

  • Maintain product cutting results and ensure quality documentation is up-to-date.

Essential Skills

  • 2+ years of experience in food manufacturing, quality assurance, or consumer relations.

  • Experience in receiving, documenting, investigating, and responding to consumer complaints.

  • Working knowledge of HACCP, GMPs, and SQF requirements.

  • Strong documentation and database management skills.

  • Ability to analyze complaint data and conduct root-cause investigations.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Quality Management, or related field preferred.

  • Equivalent relevant experience considered.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Highly organized and detail-oriented.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

  • Experience with TraceGains or GS1 is a plus.

Work Environment

The position offers flexible working hours, either 7-4 or 8-5, within a food manufacturing environment located in Manteno, IL. It involves cross-functional interaction with various departments including QA, Production, Sanitation, Maintenance, Warehouse, R&D, Sales, and Customer Service. The role includes both administrative responsibilities and hands-on coordination of product samples and sensory/product cuttings.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Manteno, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $28.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
