This internship provides hands‑on experience within Butler Machinery’s Warranty Department by supporting daily operational tasks and contributing to key business processes. The Warranty Intern will work closely with Parts, Sales, and Service teams while gaining valuable insight into equipment registration, warranty administration, and vendor credit processes.

This role requires 15–20 hours per week during the school year with full-time availability during breaks.

Work Location: Candidates must be located at, and work from, our corporate office in Fargo, ND. Position is not eligible to be remote.

Responsibilities:

  • Process and track warranty coverage billing in accordance with vendor requirements.

  • Reconcile and settle warranty credits received from vendors.

  • Register newly sold machines for warranty coverage and enter information into the business system.

  • Provide support to Parts, Sales, and Service departments by responding to warranty‑related inquiries.

  • Assist in ongoing projects and process improvements within the Warranty Department.

  • Works within and promotes vision, mission, and values of BMC.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Actively pursuing a degree in Agricultural Business, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field preferred

  • Strong computer skills required, including experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

  • Detail‑oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment

  • Strong communication and problem‑solving skills

  • Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively within a team
