Position Summary: CVS Health is seeking a highly collaborative and self-directed Senior AI Solutions Strategist to help define and deliver AI-powered solutions across Aetna business domains. This role serves as the primary bridge between business stakeholders and engineering teams, ensuring opportunities are properly understood, prioritized, and translated into actionable work.
You will work directly with domain leaders to identify opportunities, facilitate discovery, validate business value, define requirements, and establish success criteria for AI initiatives. In many engagements, you will function as both strategist and analyst, helping stakeholders clarify business problems, challenge assumptions, and determine whether proposed opportunities are appropriate investments.
This role requires strong relationship-building skills, business analysis capabilities, and the ability to operate independently across multiple workstreams while maintaining awareness of broader portfolio priorities.
Success in this role requires balancing stakeholder advocacy with objective evaluation, ensuring resources are directed toward opportunities with the strongest potential value.
Key Responsibilities: Domain Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with business and technology stakeholders
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned domains
- Identify emerging opportunities and evolving business priorities
Opportunity Intake & Discovery
- Facilitate discovery workshops and opportunity assessment sessions
- Evaluate proposed use cases and determine strategic fit
- Help stakeholders refine and strengthen problem statements
Business Value & ROI Analysis
- Determine projected business value, ROI, and success metrics
- Document business cases and recommendation materials
- Re-evaluate results after implementation to assess realized value
Solution Definition
- Translate business needs into clear requirements and implementation-ready solution definitions
- Define scope, acceptance criteria, assumptions, risks, and dependencies
- Partner with engineering teams throughout delivery
Stakeholder & Delivery Coordination
- Manage communication across business and technical teams
- Support prioritization discussions and roadmap planning
- Facilitate resolution of delivery challenges and stakeholder concerns
Governance & Tracking
- Maintain visibility into assigned initiatives
- Track progress, dependencies, outcomes, risks, and portfolio alignment
- Ensure artifacts, documentation, and reporting remain current and accurate
Required Qualifications:
- 7+ years of experience in Product Management or Program Management
- 5+ years of experience gathering and defining business requirements
- 5+ years of experience facilitating stakeholder discussions and discovery sessions
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience supporting AI, automation, analytics, digital transformation, or technology initiatives
- Demonstrated ability to evaluate business value and recommend prioritization decisions
- Strong communication and relationship management skills
- Understanding of technical terminology (ex: api, agentic, etc) & proven aptitude to pick up technical concepts and patterns
- Experience working with agile teams or engineering organizations
- Familiarity with healthcare operations, claims, benefits, provider, or member-facing experiences
- Experience building business cases and evaluating ROI
- Experience supporting portfolio governance and prioritization activities
Education:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or equivalent work experience
Pay Range The typical pay range for this role is:
$130,295.00 - $260,590.00 This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
