The team works collaboratively to develop, deliver, and improve technologies that help clinicians provide effective patient care. Operating in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment, the business unit emphasizes quality, innovation, cross-functional partnership, and continuous improvement to support both customer needs and long-term business success.
At Medtronic, we bring bold ideas forward with speed and decisiveness to put patients first in everything we do. In-person exchanges are invaluable to our work. We’re working a minimum of 4 days a week onsite as part of our commitment to fostering a culture of professional growth and cross-functional collaboration as we work together to engineer the extraordinary.
This position will be based in Mounds View, MN.
The Electrophysiology Therapies (EPT) Cardiac Rhythm Management (CRM) Systems Engineering Director will lead a Systems Engineering team that partners across EPT CRM business units, programs, and technology-development groups to shape product-platform strategy, mature system architecture, and accelerate responsible adoption of AI-enabled engineering practices. The leader will help the Systems organization balance near-term program execution with long-range platform thinking, ensuring innovations are designed for reuse, scalable interfaces, and future product applicability as new therapies, devices, and ecosystem needs emerge. The day to day of this role will focus on function strategy, talent development of a team of 10 to 20 engineers including a manager, and process/knowledge management. This role’s functional strategy focus will span early concept generation / feasibility, system architecture, AI Fluency, and cross-program consistency.
