Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Facilities Manager for a leading commercial real estate and facilities services organization. This individual will oversee the day-to-day operations of a large manufacturing facility, serving as the primary liaison between the client, facility occupants, vendors, and internal support teams. The ideal candidate will have a strong background managing industrial or manufacturing environments, including budgeting, maintenance operations, contractor oversight, compliance programs, and client relationships. This position requires someone who can lead teams, drive operational excellence, manage both hard and soft services, and confidently interact with stakeholders at all levels. The role offers exposure to a globally recognized organization, long-term growth potential, and the opportunity to oversee a critical manufacturing site while implementing innovative technologies and operational improvements. Day-to-Day:

  • Serve as the primary onsite Facilities Manager and client-facing representative
  • Manage daily facility operations and service delivery
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with client stakeholders
  • Oversee facility budgets, forecasting, and cost control initiatives
  • Coordinate maintenance, repairs, and operational improvements
  • Manage third-party vendors, contractors, and service providers
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements
  • Conduct routine facility inspections
  • Lead and develop facility management team members
  • Present operational updates and recommendations to leadership
  • Support both hard services (mechanical, electrical, building systems) and soft services (janitorial, cafeteria, etc.)
  • Drive process improvements, operational efficiencies, and technology adoption
  • Coordinate cross-functionally with Finance, HR, Legal, Procurement, IT, and Risk teams

Skills and Requirements

  • 8-10+ years of Facilities Management experience
  • Manufacturing facility experience required
  • Experience managing industrial environments, ideally with loading docks and plant operations
  • Strong background managing both hard and soft facility services
  • Experience overseeing contractors and third-party vendors
  • Budget management and financial oversight experience
  • Strong client-facing communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Leadership experience managing facilities teams
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
  • Experience conducting facility inspections and ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
  • Ability to work onsite and support operational needs during weather transitions and occasional off-hours
  • Experience in battery manufacturing or acid battery facilities
  • CPM, RPA, or CSM certifications
  • Advanced degree
  • Experience utilizing AI tools and automation technologies
  • Background leading process improvement or technology adoption initiatives
  • Experience serving as a strategic advisor to client leadership
  • Integrated Facilities Management (IFM) leadership experience
  • Experience managing large industrial or manufacturing campuses
