Job Description:

Key Responsibilities

  • Create, update and maintain sales volume forecasts (monthly SOP) in SAP Integrated Business Planning (IBP) system per timeline established by Global Sales Operations. Analyze sales team and customer volume input to evaluate and monitor forecast patterns and sales trends to improve forecast projections. Actively participate and facilitate Outside North America monthly forecast planning meetings, including the appropriate MSS associates.

  • Provide volume variance explanations to Finance and facilitate monthly consolidation of interim Income Statement volume “Snapshots.”

  • Coordinate the process to develop the annual Outside North America On-Highway Market Demand Forecast (MDF) and MDF Refresh, coordinate inputs from regional sales and marketing and develop the forecast. Update SAP IBP with approved MDF and MDF Refresh data.

  • Communicate and align on forecasts through recurring meetings and calls with key internal customers by engaging with Regional Sales Directors, Account Managers, Global Forecast team, Sales Support, Management and Executive Staff members.

  • Liaise with internal collaborators including sales managers and GSC associates when there are supply or quality issues that impact customer order delivery timing for all products sold in Outside North America end markets. Include regional Sales Operations leaders when issues are impacting international region orders. Facilitate discussion and supervise progress to resolution.

  • Act as administrator for the SAP IBP module. Prepare forecasting templates within IBP, perform IBP transactions for product and customer maintenance, collaborate with system experts for IBP maintenance and improvements, train associates in IBP for forecasting, and detail IBP forecasting processes.

  • Provide ad hoc sales forecasts as requested to assist management decisions.

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Business Management, Marketing, Information Systems or related field

  • Preferred emphasis in data analytics or statistics

  • Prefer knowledge of Allison commercial customers and products and Global MSS, GSC / Operations and Finance organizations and responsibilities

  • At least 5 years of experience preparing sales analyses and forecasts in a marketing/sales environment required, or equivalent experience.

  • Prefer advanced knowledge of statistical analysis software and/or database tools (e.g. SAP, Excel, Power BI) for data analysis, graphics etc.

  • Experience with Allison Marketing, Sales and Service processes, and knowledge of Allison global customers and Allison product nomenclature

  • Ability to work independently

  • High level of attention to detail, organization and ability to handle multiple tasks at once

  • Very good written and verbal communication skills. Good interpersonal skills, ability to work cooperatively and communicate effectively with multiple teams
