Bettendorf Community School District seeks compassionate and skilled individuals to work alongside special education staff and administrators at the elementary school level.

Position:Behavior Interventionist (Paraeducator) - Elementary

Location:Mark Twain Elementary

Hours:33.5/ hours per week

Rate of Pay:$19.42/hour

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to implement behavior plans and maintain consistent expectations

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to remain calm and respond appropriately to challenging behavior

  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet student needs

  • Prior experience with students with behavioral or emotional disabilities preferred

  • CPI training or willingness to obtain preferred

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Applicants must have valid U.S. citizenship, permanent residency, or an active work visa.
