Production Supervisor

Robert Half is partnering with a growing manufacturing organization seeking a Production Supervisor to lead daily operations within a fast-paced production environment. This role is responsible for driving safety, quality, delivery, and productivity while developing a high-performing team. The ideal candidate thrives in a hands-on leadership role and enjoys solving operational challenges, coaching employees, and improving processes.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily production activities based on staffing levels, material availability, equipment capacity, and customer delivery requirements.

• Assign work and prioritize production tasks to ensure operational goals and schedules are achieved.

• Provide technical guidance and support to production employees while maintaining quality and accuracy throughout manufacturing processes.

• Communicate production priorities, operational changes, and workflow expectations with employees and leadership to ensure alignment and timely issue resolution.

• Partner closely with Engineering, Quality, Planning, Supply Chain, Customer Support, and Human Resources to support production objectives and resolve operational challenges.

• Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives designed to enhance safety, quality, productivity, and overall operational efficiency.

• Assist with employee onboarding, training, and development efforts while promoting a culture of accountability and engagement.

• Maintain employee training documentation and ensure required certifications and records remain up to date.

• Address employee relations and performance concerns in partnership with Human Resources and management.

• Promote a safe work environment by reinforcing workplace safety standards, procedures, and best practices.

• Support workplace organization initiatives and maintain high standards for cleanliness and visual workplace practices.

• Collaborate with leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure the efficient flow of materials and products throughout the operation.

• Monitor production performance, identify improvement opportunities, and implement corrective actions when necessary.

• Participate in recruiting, interviewing, and selection activities for production team members.

• Support operational goals by fostering teamwork, communication, and a continuous improvement mindset across the production team.

Requirements

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations, Manufacturing, Engineering, or a related field preferred.

• 3+ years of production, manufacturing, or operations leadership experience.

• Experience supervising hourly employees in a manufacturing or industrial environment.

• Demonstrated success leading teams, improving processes, and meeting production targets.

• Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, 5S, or similar operational excellence methodologies.

• Strong communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

• Ability to build relationships across departments and effectively lead teams through change.

• Proficiency with ERP, production reporting, or manufacturing systems is a plus.

• The targeted salary range for this position is $70-90K
