Position: LTS Literacy Teacher (Posting number 2627-3927)
Location: Plank Road North Elementary School
Start Date: November 2, 2026 - December 16, 2026
Requirements: Must have NYS Certification as a Birth-grade 6 Literacy Teacher or K-12 Permanent Reading

Candidates must have knowledge and understanding of child growth and development, effective instructional strategies, classroom management, learning assessment and diagnosis, and research related to learning
Responsibilities:

Provides comprehensive support to elementary students

Integrates literacy skills and strategies within the English program, ensuring that all students are able to access text and communicate understanding through writing

Maintains accurate and timely student records available for teacher, student or parent reference

Demonstrates a deep and rich knowledge of subject area and the ability to convey it to the students
Salary: As per current Webster Teacher Association (WTA) Contract based on experience and education.
