BCBST is looking for a dedicated Claims Processor to join our Senior Care Claims Department. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting Medicare-eligible members by accurately reviewing and processing healthcare claims to help ensure they receive the benefits and care they need. This position requires strong attention to detail, the ability to learn complex workflows, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Our ideal candidate brings experience in administrative, claims, healthcare, or customer service-related work. You will excel in this role if you can work independently, demonstrate strong organizational skills, and have a passion for helping others through accurate and timely claims processing.

A few details about the class:

  • The start date for this class is October 26, 2026 .
  • The training will last approximately 12 weeks and is performance-based .
  • The working hours for the training period are 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM ET, Monday through Friday , with training being primarily virtual and including some on-campus shadowing opportunities.
  • After training concludes, work hours are flexible, with employees able to start their day as early as 5:00 AM ET or as late as 9:00 AM ET , with all shifts ending by 6:00 PM ET .
  • Career Growth: Gain experience using Facets and master claims processing workflows.
  • Utilize Facets and workflow tools to ensure timely and accurate claim resolution.
  • Must live within a 50-mile radius of Chattanooga, TN.

Job Responsibilities

  • Routing claim issues to next level or appropriate support areas; following up to ensure completion.
  • Inputting, reviewing and validating the claims data received; evaluating their reliability and effectiveness in line with coverage and appraisal.
  • Assisting in routine claim analysis and final determination; delivering administrative support throughout all claim handling processes.
  • Performing basic investigator tasks; gathering and documenting relevant information as a preliminary investigation.
  • Must be able to pass required testing.
  • Work overtime as required.
