Full job description

Maintain consistent, quality positioning and visual merchandise presentations that maximize space, profitability, retain presentation standards and support divisional strategies in all Fred Meyer Jewelers locations. RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Model Customer 1st behavior; deliver and encourage other associates to deliver excellent customer service

  • Develop and implement the standardized visual merchandising program to include corporate brand elements, packaging, plan-o-grams, category floor plans, window and case merchandise layout and propping, signage, pricing, labeling, etc.

  • Train store associates to position their stores in a consistent manner; develop and maintain visual merchandising standards, communications, and training program for stores; develop space planning standards and strategy

  • Develop and produce decorative and merchandise props for all promotional periods; work with Marketing department on promotional themes and concepts to create promotional strategies for upcoming campaigns and in-case signage

  • Develop allocations of styles and groupings to create formalized plan; translate assortment plans into effective presentation and schematic plan-o-gram for use at store level

  • Assist with setting up the initial case and window layout of merchandise and all visual elements for store locations, as well as on-going assistance

  • Gather and disseminate intelligence on competition visual merchandising

  • Manage Vendor relationship for store and project based element ordering (i.e., visual store online, store requests through visual mailbox, project status report organization and working with buyers)

  • Streamline brand elements and program inventory with vendors and store facing ordering systems

  • Responsible for project management, communication, and budget management for Visual projects including work with multiple departments

  • Maintaining visual merchandising standards and communications, provide guidance to stores for execution of updates

  • Partner with Senior Planner on space planning initiative, helping create store level specific planograms

  • Assist with setting up the initial case and window layout of merchandise and all visual elements for store locations, as well as on-going assistance

  • Must be able to perform the essential job functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum

  • Bachelors Degree in visual communications, marketing, merchandising, or related discipline

  • 5+ years of experience in a visual merchandising or space planning for a specialty retailer, 1 year fine jewelry experience or 3 years of experience in other specialty retail; or combination of relevant education and experience

  • Familiarity with marketing/advertising strategies

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Proficient with Macintosh applications, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Suite, Microsoft Suite, and CAD

  • Familiarity with industry/technical terms and processes

  • Familiarity with publication planogram creation

Desired

  • Any experience directing and participating on project teams
