Manager, Global Product Strategy

The Impact You’ll Make in this Role As a Manager, Global Product Strategy for 3M-Matic™ Equipment and Custom Packaging in ISD, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

Build, lead and execute the global product strategy for 3M-Matic™ Equipment and a range of custom packaging solutions across a variety of market verticals
-
Define the go-to products, work with the integrated marketing and cross-functional teams to introduce new products and drive global content to increase relevance and market share

Develops, implements and maintains global pricing corridors for all equipment and custom solutions and communicates directly with area teams for execution

Responsible for coordinating with sourcing on all related equipment agreements, suppliers and service level agreements

Delivering cost-out projects, localization activities that drive mix for gross margin targets accretive to the business unit and division

Collaborates with area portfolio leaders in key regions including USAC, LATAM, EMEA, Asia and Greater China Area, developing growth geographies and business models to reach new markets

Leads and supports the new product commercialization process for prioritized NPI technology platforms and drives execution with a global, cross-functional team, including multi-national and global key account teams

Works across multiple functions, areas and business groups to drive revenue growth

Own and is accountable for all Global Material Master Data for the portfolio in legacy systems, SAP, e-commerce and channel

Drives engagement in relevant channel partners through the areas

Champion’s prioritization and resolution of global SOS issues, demand plans and supply chain delivery to our customers
Primary Metrics:
- Sales growth and OLCG%
- Market share and equipment units sold
- New product commercialization, launches, gate progression and pipeline
- Marketing program execution & impact (MROI %)
- Gross margin at standard (% and $)
Secondary Metrics:
- Delivers price plans and corridors
- Phase in/phase out for the product category
- Supplier management and manage service level agreements (SLA’s)
- Master data and legacy SKU updates
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start)

Seven (7) years of global marketing, product strategy and/or business development in a private, public, government or military environment
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
-
Master's degree in Business or Business Administration from an accredited institution
-
Ten (10) years of global marketing, product strategy and/or business development in a private, public, government or military environment
-
Skills include product management, pricing, working across global teams, functions, and geographies, customer focused, clear track record of new product development and commercialization excellence and ability to challenge the status quo.
Work location:
- This role follows an on-site working model, requiring the employee to work at least four days a week at the 3M Center in Maplewood, MN.
Travel: May include up to 25% domestic/international Relocation: May be authorized
Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).

Applicable to US Applicants Only:The expected compensation range for this position is $188,251 - $230,084, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and/or experience.
