Job Description

Title: Quality Control Technician

Job Type: Full-Time

Location: Rancocas, NJ

Base Pay: Commensurate with exp. Required Education: High School Diploma or equivalent Required Experience: 2-3 years

Description:

Consarc is a leading manufacturing company dedicated to delivering high-quality products to our customers. We are committed to excellence and continuous improvement in all aspects of our operations. The QC Technician’s role is to perform a variety of technical inspections. Their duties include measuring objects compared to their intended physical specifications and identifying defects.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Reading blueprints/technical drawings and & welding symbols

  • Analyzes data and writes summaries to validate or show deviations from existing standards.

  • Recommend modifications to existing, or suggest new standards, methods and procedures.

  • Inspection of the materials produced or purchased.

  • Using tools such as micrometers and other calibrated tools to measure products.

  • Removing products that do not meet specifications.

  • Acceptance or rejection of finished products.

  • Performs inspections to assess product quality.

  • Scans/Uploads documents accordingly.

  • Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of calibrated test tools and equipment.

  • Ability to read rulers on 1/8th, 1/16th, 1/32nd, and 1/64th scales.

  • Proficiency with metric and standard measurement tools.

  • Ability to use micrometers, verniers, and calipers.

  • Strong record-keeping and computer skills.

  • Detail-oriented.

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

  • 2-3 years of relevant experience required.

Preferred:

  • International/Domestic travel availability.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to talk, stoop, hear, use fingers to handle, feel or operate objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands and arms.

  • Ascending and descending stairs and/or ladders

  • The noise level in the work environment is moderate manufacturing noise. Hearing requirements include the ability to hear and respond to instructions, communicate effectively in loud areas.

  • Occasionally work in spaces with noise up to 100 dB (with company-provided ear protection).

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.

  • May be exposed to dust or other irritants and electrical/mechanical/power equipment/heat hazards.

  • Possible travel, working around others, and with others.

  • Physical duties are subject to change.
