About the Role:

The CBRE OT Tech Specialist delivers on-siteoperational technology (OT) support across CBRE-managed facilities, serving asthe primary point of contact for field-level incident resolution, systemmaintenance and client-facing technical guidance. This role combines hands-ontechnical expertise with a service-first mindset to keep critical OTenvironments running reliably.

What You’ll Do:

On-Site Technical Support

‒ Deliver Level 1 and Level 2 technical supportfor OT systems and endpoints at client sites.

‒ Install, configure, troubleshoot, upgrade andmaintain OT-related workstations, printers, wireless devices, handheld devicesand peripherals following established standards.

‒ Perform basic networking tasks including cabletracing, IP configuration and connectivity verification.

‒ Support workstation and server deployment,including basic OT system configurations.

‒ Travel to multiple client locations to providein-person field coverage as directed.

Incident and Service Request Management

‒ Own incident resolution from intake to closure,tracking all work in the service management system.

‒ Meet or exceed CBRE service level agreements(SLAs) on all incidents and service requests.

‒ Escalate unresolved issues promptly to theappropriate team or third-party vendor.

‒ Maintain accurate asset records, contributing totimely and reliable inventory data.

‒ Provide after-hours support for criticalincidents, outages and scheduled projects when required.

Client Engagement

‒ Build trusted relationships with clients bydemonstrating empathy, active listening and a clear understanding of theirconcerns before proposing solutions.

‒ Communicate technical solutions in plainlanguage tailored to each client's skill level.

‒ Advocate for the IT service provider model byexplaining its value and reinforcing a collaborative partnership.

‒ Contribute to client satisfaction metrics bytreating every interaction as an opportunity to build confidence.

Process Improvement and Documentation

‒ Identify gaps in established procedures andrecommend improvements to the regional manager.

‒ Develop and maintain knowledge base articlescovering both customer-facing guides and internal technical reference.

‒ Apply creative problem-solving alongsidestandard operating procedures to resolve non-routine issues.

‒ Communicate openly with management and teammembers to share insights and flag emerging issues.

Technical Skills

‒ Candidates should bring familiarity with thefollowing technologies and hardware:

‒ Operating systems and software: Windows 10,macOS, iOS, Microsoft Office, common internet browsers, VPN, local accountmanagement, command line and system management tools.

‒ Hardware: desktop and laptop computers, iPads,iPhones, Android devices, printers, video conferencing equipment and IP phones.

‒ Networking: working knowledge of wide areanetworks, TCP/IP and server operating systems is an asset.

‒ Service frameworks: understanding of ITILmethodology and experience with service management systems.

‒ Physical requirements: ability to move boxes andcomputer equipment weighing up to 50 pounds and position oneself to installequipment including under desks.

‒ Mobility: willingness and ability to travelregularly to client sites outside the primary office.

What You’ll Need:

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred with up to 3 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.

  • Ability to use existing procedures to solve standard problems.

  • Experience with analyzing information and standard practices to make judgments.

  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.

  • Organizational skills with a strong inquisitive mindset.

  • Intermediate math skills. Ability to calculate difficult figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations.

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the OT Tech Specialist position is $85,000 annually and the maximum salary for the OT Tech Specialist position is $100,000 annually. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience.
