The Case Manager provides case management and program coordination to support students registered with Student Disability Services. This position conducts intake meetings, reviews accommodations, and offers short-term academic and personal counseling to promote student success.

Major/Essential Functions:

Provides short-term academic counseling to students with disabilities to support their academic success and development. Assesses students’ individual needs and barriers to academic progress and provides guidance related to academic accommodations, academic performance, study skills, time management, organization, tutoring and campus resources, and other areas that may affect their ability to be successful.

Collaborates with Student Disability Services staff and maintains a close working relationship with TECHniques Center (TC) staff to coordinate student support, share relevant information, and promote a comprehensive approach to student success.

May provide additional support to Student Disability Services staff in various areas of departmental operations, including coordinating and proctoring accommodated testing.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Knowledge of ADA laws as it applies to Higher Education.

Strong written and oral communication skills.
-
Strong managerial skills.
-
Crisis management skills.
-
Ability to multi-task.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a closely related field and two years of experience working with individuals with disabilities. Additional education can substitute for years of experience on a year-for-year basis.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in Higher Education, Psychology, Counseling, or other related field of study directly related to assigned work. One year of college student counseling experience.

Adherence to robust safety practices and compliance with all applicable health and safety regulations are responsibilities of all TTU employees.
