Full job description

A-Frame Brands builds and launches private-label beauty, personal care, wellness, fragrance, and lifestyle brands for major retailers. We're looking for a Brand & Packaging Designer to join our creative team, reporting to our VP, Creative Director.

The role starts as freelance/contract, and we intend to move it to full-time if the fit is right on both sides.

What You'll Do

  • Develop concepts, mood boards, and visual directions for new and existing brands
  • Design primary and secondary packaging, and build production-ready mechanicals from dielines and vendor specs
  • Extend brand systems across SKUs, sizes, scents, and line extensions
  • Create mockups, presentations, retailer submissions, brand guidelines, and digital assets
  • Review proofs and samples, and work with vendors, printers, and creative partners
  • Use generative AI and new tools for ideation, visualization, and faster workflows, with strong design judgment applied to what they produce
  • Own projects from brief to final delivery, working closely with Product Development, Production, QA, and Marketing

What We're Looking For

  • 3–5 years of design experience with demonstrated packaging expertise
  • Startup, emerging brand, or agency experience strongly preferred
  • A portfolio with strong fundamentals in typography, layout, color, and brand identity
  • Proficiency in Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign
  • Experience with dielines, mechanicals, or print production
  • Curiosity about AI and emerging creative tools
  • Resourceful, detail-oriented, and comfortable juggling multiple projects and changing priorities
  • Takes direction and feedback well, and brings ideas without waiting to be asked
  • Bonus: interest in beauty and consumer brands; 3D, rendering, motion, photography, or illustration skills

Why A-Frame We're a lean team, so you'll get hands-on exposure to the full brand-building process across multiple brands, from early concept through production and retail launch. You'll own real projects, with mentorship and creative direction along the way.
