Responsibilities

Position Overview

Join our 10 week program in the Food Quality and Safety organization by working with a team to gain an understanding of the department's initiatives.  This intern will work on projects that include but are not limited to validating SOP’s that support facilities food safety plans, assist in assessment gaps and development of SOP’s, and assist in the deployment of SharePoint library and document controls. Responsible for positively impacting Bob Evan’s business and consumers by completing challenging and meaningful projects.  Demonstrate our core values: Put Safety First, Win Together, Do the Right Thing, Be Courageous and Drive for Results.

Accountabilities

  • Manage all aspects of the SOP document control and approval system and processes

  • Review, suggest, revise, consult, and re-write existing SOPs

  • Work as a member of a team or independently to accomplish duties and responsibilities

  • Interact and communicate with all levels of staff and plant personnel as well as business units

  • Evaluate data and draw conclusions

  • Gain exposure from various different areas of the Operations and Quality organization and cross functional teams to understand industry regulations, best practices, and documentation.

Intern Project

  • Lead or contribute to a cross-functional intern project that delivers real business impact and showcases learnings.

P rofessional Developmen t

  • Learn QFSE principles

  • Gain exposure to QFSE/Ops organization and cross-functional collaboration.

  • Participate in team meetings, mentorship sessions, and intern events.

Qualifications

Education

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline.

Skills & Attributes

  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. Especially, Outlook, Teams, OneDrive and Excel

  • Sound written and oral communication skills

  • Ability to work within teams and maintain professional composure in a dynamic work environment that often requires management and completion of multiple tasks

  • Demonstrate sound judgment and ability to apply logical/critical thought processes when developing solutions

  • A strong interest in the CPG industry, a plus
