Position Summary/Description:

The Department of Sociology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill invites applications for an open rank (tenure-track) faculty position to begin July 1, 2027. We are seeking candidates with research and teaching interests in population health and aging. This is the first of an anticipated five related searches over the next four years in a new UNC -Chapel Hill initiative on biosocial health and aging. We seek applications from scholars who exhibit a record of strong and innovative research and excellence in teaching. Candidates are expected to hold a Ph.D. in Sociology or a related field by July 1, 2027.
