Ignition MES Developer - INTL - Poland

Job Description

Position Overview Insight Global's client is accelerating its global MES standardization strategy through its MES 2.0 initiative. Historically, manufacturing facilities have deployed varying solutions with limited consistency between plants. The goal of this program is to establish standardized MES capabilities utilizing Ignition-based architecture while minimizing custom development and maximizing reusable platform functionality. The initial deployment will focus on a pilot implementation at the Stanowice, Poland manufacturing facility before scaling across additional global plants. The consultant will support MES deployment, configuration, integration, reporting, and operational adoption efforts while partnering closely with manufacturing leadership and plant teams.

Day-to-Day

• Deploy and enhance MES applications utilizing Ignition and Kanoa/ Sepasoft platforms
• Configure out-of-the-box MES functionality to accelerate Tenneco's MES 2.0 initiative
• Build production dashboards, reporting solutions, and operational visibility tools
• Configure OAE/OEE, Production Reporting, Quality, and Traceability solutions
• Develop Python scripts and custom business logic where standard functionality does not meet requirements
• Design and optimize SQL queries, reporting datasets, and manufacturing databases
• Integrate MES platforms with PLCs, automation systems, sensors, edge devices, and enterprise applications
• Support integration between MES and SAP/ERP platforms
• Develop and support Track & Trace / Genealogy capabilities for manufacturing operations
• Work closely with plant managers, manufacturing engineers, operations teams, and shop floor architects
• Participate in onsite plant assessments and pilot deployments Support future rollout and standardization efforts across multiple global manufacturing facilities

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages while on contract for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.

Skills and Requirements

Must Haves

• Ignition Core Certification

• Hands-on Ignition development experience (Perspective and/or Vision)

• MES implementation experience using Kanoa (preferred) or Sepasoft

• Experience configuring and deploying MES solutions versus solely developing custom applications

• Strong SQL skills (stored procedures, query optimization, relational databases)

• Python scripting experience within Ignition environments

• Experience collecting manufacturing data from PLCs and automation systems

• MQTT and OPC UA / OPC DA connectivity experience

• REST/SOAP API and enterprise integration experience

• ERP integration experience (SAP preferred)

• Knowledge of ISA-95 and ISA-88 manufacturing standards

• Experience implementing manufacturing modules such as:

• OAE / OEE

• Production Reporting

• Quality Management

• Track & Trace / Genealogy

• Maintenance / Asset Management

• Energy Management

• Track & Trace / Genealogy experience including production traceability, torque data, leak testing, or similar manufacturing use cases Experience working directly with manufacturing operations, plant leaders, and engineering stakeholders Plusses

• Ignition Gold Certification

• Kanoa MES Certification

• Sepasoft MES Certification

• Previous Kanoa implementation experience

• Automotive manufacturing experience

• Multi-plant MES deployment experience

• Energy Management implementation experience

• Maintenance / Asset Management module experience

• Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or Database Certifications

• PMP Certification

• CCNA or Network+ Certification

• Polish language skills Experience working onsite at manufacturing plants during MES deployments
