Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to support the Site Manager platform powering Supercharger infrastructure. This role focuses on building and maintaining applications that run on an embedded Linux gateway responsible for managing an entire charging site, connecting cloud services, chargers, and multiple embedded controllers. The ideal candidate has strong embedded Linux application development experience, works comfortably in distributed IoT environments, and has production-level experience with Golang, C++, or Rust. This is not a kernel, driver, or low-level firmware role. The focus is user-space application development and system-level software ownership. What You'll Do -Develop and maintain applications running on an embedded Linux platform for Supercharger sites. -Design and build software that interfaces between cloud services and embedded MCU-based controllers. -Develop microservices supporting site-level charging operations and infrastructure management. -Collaborate with firmware, validation, and hardware teams to deliver new charging products and features. -Support new product introduction (NPI) efforts for Superchargers, Mega Chargers, and future charging technologies. -Debug, test, and optimize software deployed across large-scale charging networks. -Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, automation, and software quality initiatives.

Skills and Requirements

-4+ years of software engineering experience -Strong experience developing applications on embedded Linux platforms. -Production-level proficiency in Golang, C++, or Rust. -Experience building software that interfaces between devices and cloud services (IoT systems). -Experience working with embedded systems and communicating with MCU-based devices. -Large tech company background -EV charging, energy, battery, renewable energy, or automotive experience. -Experience with charging infrastructure, power systems, or industrial IoT products.
