Full job description

As a Contracts Lead here at Honeywell, you will handle all facets of contract formation and contract management including drafting, interpretation, negotiation, contract review, and administration of complex supplier agreements.

You will report directly to our Procurement Asst General Counsel and you’ll work in Puerto Rico on a Remote work schedule.

In this role, you will impact Honeywell's contract management function and overall business operations by ensuring that final contractual documents drive growth and include all deal parameters approved in accordance with respective approval processes. You will ensure Honeywell business is conducted with the highest ethical standards, internal company policies, and local and international laws.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide independent and objective contract evaluation as well as experienced advice and sound guidance to various functions, as applicable.

  • Drafting, interpretation, negotiation, administration of complex supplier agreements and claims and disputes management.

  • Advise internal customers and stakeholders of contractual rights and obligations and provide interpretation of terms and conditions.

  • Focus on continual improvement in the speed, quality, and simplicity of contract formation and management processes, without compromising compliance.

  • Collaborate with various teams and functions at multiple sites, ensuring organizational effectiveness and standardization.

  • Support the maximization of cost targets and cash flow while minimizing risk in the negotiation of contracts.

  • Contribute to the development of strong working relationships with internal customers and stakeholders, ensuring provision of top-class service and high customer satisfaction.

YOU MUST HAVE

  • 6+ years of experience managing and negotiating contracts.

  • Strong knowledge of contract law and commercial terms and conditions to ensure compliance and risk mitigation.

  • 6+ years of experience in drafting, reviewing, and interpreting complex contractual documents to support business growth and compliance.

  • Proficiency in contract management software and tools to streamline contract lifecycle processes.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders across multiple locations.

  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills in English and strong problem solving skills.
