Job Summary
Provides administrative support to ambulatory care pharmacist programs during patient encounters and appointments. The position is responsible for submission and completion of prior authorization (PA) processes, patient care administrative duties such as scheduling and inbound/outgoing phone calls, and other related patient support activities.
Job Requirements
Minimum Education Requirement:
High School degree or equivalent required. Training as per State Board of Pharmacy requirements.
Minimum Experience Requirement:
Minimum of one (1) year experience as a Pharmacy Technician in a pharmacy setting required. One (1) year experience with prior authorizations (PAs), insurance verification, and medication access workflows. Experience with direct patient interaction and care in an ambulatory setting preferred. Experience using electronic health records (EHR), pharmacy benefit tools, and prior authorization portals (i.e. CoverMyMeds) preferred. Experience in ambulatory care, specialty pharmacy or medical office/ administrative setting preferred. Excellent customer service skills.
Minimum License Requirement:
Current CA Pharmacy Technician License required. Basic Life Support (BLS) from American Heart Association (AHA) required.

$24.15 - $36.47
