Senior Java Developer w/ Angular

Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a hands-on Senior Java Developer to design, develop, modernize, and support enterprise applications supporting Treasury, Risk, and Regulatory Reporting platforms sitting in Charlotte, NC. They will be responsible for upgrading their current applications to the newer version of Java and Angular. This role combines full-stack development, platform engineering, application modernization, security remediation, DevOps, and AI-assisted software engineering. Key Responsibilities

• Develop enterprise applications using Java, Spring Boot, Angular, TypeScript, and Python.
• Design and support REST APIs, microservices, and system integrations.
• Build and enhance workflow orchestration and Control Panel applications.
• Lead Java, Tomcat, Python, and framework upgrade initiatives to upgrade the Angular to v22 and JDK to v25.
• Support FOSS remediation, vulnerability management, and secure coding practices.
• Develop and support SFTP integrations, messaging solutions, and batch-processing frameworks.
• Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and improve application performance.
• Collaborate with architecture, infrastructure, security, and business teams to deliver scalable and secure solutions.
• Leverage GitHub Copilot, Microsoft Copilot, and other AI tools to accelerate impact analysis, development, testing, troubleshooting, documentation, and modernization efforts

Skills and Requirements

• 7+ years of Full Stack development experience.
• Java 11/17/25/+, Spring Framework, Spring Boot, Hibernate/ORM, JUnit, Tomcat.
• Angular v22 + , TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3.
• Python development and automation experience.
• REST APIs and microservices architecture.
• Oracle/SQL development and performance tuning.
• Linux/Unix administration and application deployment.
• SFTP integration and enterprise messaging technologies.
• Git, GitHub, Bitbucket, Ansible, and CI/CD pipelines.
• OAuth and secure application development practices.
• Experience with FOSS remediation, software upgrades, and vulnerability management.
• Experience with financial systems, sub ledger architecture, or reporting platforms
• Background in performance heavy or mission critical database environments
• Experience modernizing or refactoring legacy PL/SQL codebases
